So this happened.

After returning to UT from NY & LA, Darik and I took a trip to OR so he could "meet the parents." After dating the last year and being friends the past 3 years it was long overdue.

He was introduced to the city of Eugene:

The pumpkin patch at Herrick's Farm:

Painting pumpkins:

And most importantly family & friends:

Asking my dad for my hand in marriage was probably the most nerve racking idea upon their first meeting, but he did it! And was successful, obviously.

When back in UT he took me on a date to Sundance Resort where we were meeting our friends for the moonlight lift ride and dinner. We went up early to check on our reservation & walk around before it got dark - or so I thought. Sundance has been a special place to us through out our relationship. It's where we had our first kiss, where we get away to soak in the magnificent beauty surrounding the valley and now where he proposed!

Freaking cute, right?

    1. Thank you! I agree, he did such a good job! It's about 2 carats. My finger is a size 4.5 so it looks extra big on it! Congrats on the almost engagement, it is so much fun!

    1. Hi Laura,

Thanks you! He got it through a friend that used to be in the jewelry industry. You can get custom rings made almost anywhere though! I would suggest going through a smaller, privately owned jewelry store over a big chain jeweler. Better quality & customer service. Thanks for the comment. XO

  5. Cara, congratulations! My girlfriend and I are about to get engaged and she absolutely loves the styling of your ring! I saw the comment above and was wondering if I could see some different angles of the ring as well so I can know better what to look for as I am picking one out for her?
